Like the waters of a celestial paradise, this black opal entrances us with its luminescent bright greens and cerulean blues! Black opals are the most highly valued opals on the world, and it’s not hard to see why as this one captivates us in its myriad of iridescent colors and stunning layers of glowing hues. 

This incredible 9.51 carat Australian black opal is set in a custom handmade 18k yellow gold setting with a 14k white gold shank for a chic two-tone effect. It dates to the 1980s. A baguette diamond is set on each shoulder, adding a sleek, shining contrast to the richly colored stone. The two diamonds total a carat weight of about .24, graded near colorless G grade and VS clarity grade. The ring includes a certification for the opal by AGI (AGI Report #DC232156202). It is currently a size 7 and may be easily resized up or down upon request. For scale, the top of the opal measures about 1 inch long and 5/8 inch at its widest point.
